The nominated restaurants and Takeaways undergo a thorough evaluation process conducted by our experienced dining judges. They assess various aspects such as Local Authority Food Hygiene rating, culinary quality, service, ambiance, quality of food and authenticity to ensure that only the best establishments are included in the NEBA Guide.
Category Descriptions
The NEBA Bangladeshi Person of the Year award recognises the success, contribution, and achievement of an individual impacting locally, regionally, nationally, and worldwide.
The NEBA Lifetime Achievement award looks to recognise the contributions of an individual over the entirety of their career.
Recognising and celebrating British Bangladeshi Women in Leadership position breaking barriers and excelling within any professional fields.
Named after the founder and CEO of CREST, late Shuley Alam. Awarded to a Bangladeshi Women championing women’s equality and rights, challenging racial injustice, women empowerment, or entrepreneurship as a volunteer or working for the public, private and or within the community sector.
This will be awarded to a mother for their dedication in providing the best of upbringing to their children’s overcoming many barriers.
This award recognises the achievement, the impact and success of a Local Government employee working in any departments within the Local Authority.
Recognising an individual’s achievements within the public sector.
Awarded to an individual aged 16 or over who has excelled in educational achievement, volunteering, community and social justice activism, or achieved outstanding success in any field of sport.
Awarded to the best Bangladeshi community centre for its activities and achievements, or to a small group (shongoton) active in any field of its work.
This award will be awarded to a non-Bangladeshi led voluntary organisation that is supporting and offering services to British Bangladeshi people.
