North East Bangladeshi Awards (NEBA) supporting this very important and historical achievement unveils world-first Rohingya memorial as 'powerful' reminder of Myanmar atrocities. This permanent memorial stone was erected in Newcastle Civic Centre's Peace Garden to remember the victims of the atrocities committed against Myanmar’s Rohingya population.

A number of Newcastle upon Tyne’s voluntary organisations came together to organise a special Community Iftar evening titled “Break-Fast @ St Andrew’s Church”, bringing the city’s diverse communities together to break fast, celebrate diversity, and strengthen community spirit during Ramadan.
